TIMBERLAKE AND KINGS OF LEON ARE SOUTHERN GENTLEMEN

Pop star JUSTIN TIMBERLAKE struck up an unlikely friendship with the KINGS OF LEON after discovering the rockers once lived near him in Tennessee.

The singer is a big fan of the Sex On Fire hitmakers and was stunned to find out the Followill family hails from his home state.

Timberlake says, "I met Caleb Followill and the boys and we hung out. I never knew but some of them used to live out in Middleton, Tennessee, a few miles from where I grew up playing baseball."

And he's hoping he can team up with his fellow southerners by releasing his remix of their 2008 single Use Somebody.

The star adds, "I don't know if it will see the light of day but I did a remix for them of Use Somebody, which is really cool so maybe you'll get to hear it."
