HAMILTON SURGERY ADDS TO AEROSMITH'S HEALTH WOES

Bassist TOM HAMILTON is the latest AEROSMITH rocker to fall victim to health problems - he has been forced to miss several dates after undergoing 'non-invasive' surgery.

Hamilton, who battled cancer in 2006, will miss "some dates" following the procedure, according to the group's publicist.

The band's current tour has been hampered by the health of its stars, with seven shows being postponed since the trek started in June (09).

Frontman Steven Tyler prompted the band to pull out of two shows last week (07Jul09) after he tore a leg muscle.

New guitarist Brad Whitford had emergency surgery just days before the tour was due to kick-off, after he hit his head getting out of his car.

Hamilton will be replaced by David Hull for a show in Atlanta on Wednesday (15Jul09).
