DERMATOLOGIST SERVED WITH SUBPOENA FOR JACKSON RECORDS

The Los Angeles coroner's office has served MICHAEL JACKSON's longtime dermatologist with a subpoena seeking out additional medical records.

Los Angeles County Coroner Assistant Chief Ed Winter returned to his car after visiting a medical center to obtain Michael Jackson's medical records from Dr. Arnold Klein. Los Angeles, California - 14.07.09

Assistant Chief Coroner Ed Winter handed over the order at Dr. Arnold Klein's office in Beverly Hills on Tuesday (14Jul09) after a previous request for all of Jackson's medical records was allegedly ignored.

According to TMZ.com, two lawyers for Klein were present when the subpoena was served, who insisted the doctor would hand over the additional files within 24-hours.

Winter reportedly told reporters outside Klein's office that lawyers had sent partial records to the coroner's office, but had failed to forward on the rest of the files. Winter added that Klein was co-operating with the investigation.

Following the Thriller legend's death on 25 June (09), speculation has been rife over what caused his cardiac arrest, with reports suggesting he had a prolonged addiction to prescription painkillers.

Dr. Arnold Klein has vehemently denied supplying the singer with powerful medical drugs.
