BULLOCK WAS NEVER APPROACHED FOR THE EXPENDABLES

Actress SANDRA BULLOCK is baffled by reports she was due to join the all-star line-up for SYLVESTER STALLONE's action movie THE EXPENDABLES - because she was never approached about the project.

The Speed star was alleged to be hitting the big screen alongside action men Stallone, Mickey Rourke, Jet Li, Jason Statham and Eric Roberts in the film, which revolves around a group of mercenaries who set out to overthrow a South American dictator.

But Bullock was surprised to hear she was linked to the forthcoming picture - because she had no knowledge of the film even existing.

She tells EmpireOnline.com, "I don't know where that came from. I never read the script, I didn't even know what the script was about."
