The British actor, who plays Ron Weasley in the wizard franchise, was forced to take time off from filming Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, which is currently shooting in Britain, after he was diagnosed with the deadly virus.

Grint, 20, has now recovered and is ready to get back to work promoting the sixth movie in the franchise, Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince.

His publicist says, "He has now recovered and is looking forward to joining his fellow cast members at the premieres this week and then return to filming directly afterwards. A spokesman for Rupert's doctor confirmed that Rupert is no longer contagious or at risk of infecting others. Other scenes were shot in his absence which did not require his involvement and thus filming was not disrupted."

RITCHIE GOES GREEN

Director GUY RITCHIE plans to turn his English country mansion into an eco-friendly estate - with greenhouses and vegetable plots.

Guy Ritchie leaving the Punch Bowl Pub in Mayfair at 2.30am. London, England - 29.06.09

The star used to share Ashcombe House in Wiltshire, England with his ex-wife Madonna but after their divorce earlier this year (09) he wants to make some changes.

Ritchie has submitted plans to the local council to help make the $13 million (£9 million) property more "self sufficient".

The moviemaker intends to grow his own fruit and vegetables in the gardens, but has to seek permission to carry out the improvements because of the historical significance of the 18th century building.

The planning application reads, "In the estate's prime when it was painted in the 18th Century, it was surrounded by extensive gardens including major vegetable gardens. In recent years, all productive vegetable gardens have been lost. The gardens that remain are formal or semi-formal flower gardens.

"It is proposed to try to make Ashcombe House self-sufficient. The part-walled gardens leading from the back door to the staff building will be turned over to vegetables and given a row of greenhouses to produce vines, fruit, early vegetables and seedlings... Produce from the greenhouses will be used on the estate, all part of an effort to make the estate more self-sufficient and sustainable."

COCKER: 'JACKSON'S LATER YEARS WERE TRAGIC'

British rocker JARVIS COCKER insists MICHAEL JACKSON's later years were steeped in tragedy because he never recaptured the magic of his 1980s prime.

The former Pulp frontman made headlines around the world when he invaded the stage during Jackson's performance at the Brit Awards in London in 1996 and pointedly wiggled his backside at the King of Pop.

Cocker later revealed the incident was in protest at Jackson's "Christ-like" poses during a rendition of Earth Song.

The rocker has since admitted he regrets the incident - but is adamant Jackson's later career never reached the heights of his 1980s heyday.

Asked for his thoughts on Jackson's death, he says, "If there's a tragedy about the whole thing, I would say it's that if he'd have kept making great records - like he did in the mid-'80s - up to now that would have been great. But for some reason, for the last 20 years he didn't do that, and for me that's the tragic part of it."

RUSSELL CROWE's new ROBIN HOOD movie has suffered two further safety scares with an actor and studio aide both injured in separate incidents.

British tabloid the Sunday Mirror reports the production has since been blighted with two further accidents on set.

An unnamed actor has reportedly broken his ankles after missing a crash mat in a high-wire fall at Pinewood studios in Buckinghamshire, England.

In a separate incident a studio worker has suffered neck injuries from falling into a pit at Shepperton Studios in Surrey, England.

The film, which also stars Cate Blanchett as Maid Marion, is due for release next year (10).

MADONNA'S EMOTIONAL ONSTAGE TRIBUTE TO JACKSON

MADONNA thrilled fans in London on Saturday night (04Jul09) by performing a medley of MICHAEL JACKSON's hits at the O2 Arena - just a week before the late legend was due to grace the same stage.

The pop superstar restarted her Sticky & Sweet world tour in the British capital but stopped the show to give her own personal tribute to Jackson, who passed away in Los Angeles last week (25Jun09).

The Holiday hitmaker recently confirmed she planned to perform with Jackson at one of his 50 comeback concerts, which were due to kick off on 13 July (09).

Madonna halted the gig halfway through while iconic images of the tragic star flashed up on screens behind her.

As the beat to Jackson's classic hit, Billie Jean, was pumped into the arena, one of her dancers, dressed in the King of Pop's trademark black and white with a wide-brimmed hat and white gloves, began performing Jackson's most famous moves - including moonwalking across the stage.

The song turned into a medley with another classic Jackson hit, Wanna Be Startin' Something, much to the delight of the London crowd.

Madonna told the audience, "Let's give it up for one of the greatest artists the world has ever known - Michael Jackson!"

Later in the gig, the lyrics to Jackson's hit track Man In The Mirror were flashed up on screen as Madonna took to the stage wearing a black armband and a single white glove - in honour of the late music legend.

In an interview before the concert, the star expressed her shock at the sudden passing of her friend - and explained her onstage tribute.

She says, "I am so terribly sad about Michael Jackson's death. I don't know what artist wasn't inspired by him.

"I chose Billie Jean (to perform at the O2) because it's instantly recognisable.

"Kento, my dancer, was obsessed with Michael all his life. And when Michael was having auditions for his tour, Kento really wanted to go but he'd already made a commitment to me. So now he's about to have his moment and be Michael at my show."

OFFICIALS ASK JACKSONS TO FUND FUNERAL SECURITY

Officials in Los Angeles are urging MICHAEL JACKSON's family to help cover the cost of security arrangements for the late star's memorial service in the city.

The Thriller hitmaker will be honoured with a special ceremony at L.A.'s Staples Center stadium on Tuesday (07Jul09), with fans scrambling to register for 17,500 tickets which will be allocated in an online ballot.

Security chiefs fear the city will be thrown into chaos as nearly a million Jackson fans are expected to descend on the area to pay tribute to their hero.

Police bosses are urging devotees to stay at home and watch the service on the television as they fear they may not be able to cope with the sheer volume of people expected to jet in for the event.

Now L.A. city councillor Dennis Zine has called on the Jackson family and AEG Live, the company behind the star's scrapped comeback concerts, to help cover the costs of policing the memorial.

He says, "If the Jackson family is going to spend $25,000 on a gold casket, I would think that AEG and the Jackson family could help defray the costs so it's a safe and secure environment for mourners that want to come."

JACKSON'S NANNY 'WAS SECRET GIRLFRIEND'

MICHAEL JACKSON was secretly dating his kids' nanny GRACE RWARAMBA, according to a new report.

The late star's former head of security recently claimed Jackson had a secret lover who he kept shielded from the public eye, insisting only close members of the singer's family were aware of the romance.

Matt Fiddes, who was one of Jackson's most trusted aides, refused to name the mystery woman - but claimed they had been a couple for many years.

He said, "The family were aware that there was someone special in his life who he loved and adored and had his ups and downs with.

"I know she's been with him for some time in different capacities but it's up to her if she wants it to come out or the family to speak about this very private information."

Now a British newspaper claims the star's secret lover was Rwaramba, who spent 17 years working for Jackson, starting as his assistant and eventually looking after his three children.

Another of Jackson's former minders has spoken anonymously to the Sunday Mirror - claiming the pair was in a longterm relationship.

He says, "Grace was the closest person to Michael and the kids. She will be broken-hearted. The children were always their first priority and like any couple they would row if they disagreed about how they were being brought up. But the difference between Grace and the other women in Michael's life was that she had absolutely no interest in fame. It was something she actively avoided and Michael was determined to keep her and their relationship out of the public gaze. The romance was well known among staff but it was made very clear to them that this was not something that should be part of the public domain."

FAMILY WANTS JACKSON'S COFFIN AT MEMORIAL

MICHAEL JACKSON's family wants the star's coffin be put on display at the upcoming memorial service in Los Angeles, according to organisers.

The late singer will be honoured in a special ceremony at L.A.'s Staples Center on Tuesday (07Jul09), with his family, fans and celebrity pals expected to pay their last respects at the event.

The Staples Centre is owned by AEG, the concert promoter behind Jackson's London comeback shows, and company boss Randy Phillips has been involved in putting together the tribute.

He says, "Tuesday is not a show - it's a service. It will be a celebration of his life, not a circus. We are trying to keep this reverential and tasteful. It's going to be beautiful.

"We are still trying to figure out the logistics of getting Michael to the arena. There will be no funeral procession. Whatever happens, it is all about Michael's spirit and his life. Even if his body is not there, he will be there in spirit."

A source adds to British newspaper the Mail on Sunday, "(Jackson's mother) Katherine would like the coffin to be in the arena during the service, with one of Michael's trademark sequined gloves and a black fedora on top. She thinks that would be a powerful and fitting image."

JACKSON'S INTIMATE FAMILY SNAPS PUBLISHED

Intimate photos showing MICHAEL JACKSON cradling his children with DEBBIE ROWE have been published - just days after his ex-wife vowed to fight for custody of the kids.

The star had two children, Prince Michael, 12, and Paris, 11, with Rowe. His youngest son Prince Michael 'Blanket' II, seven, was born to an unnamed surrogate mother.

All three kids are currently in the care of their paternal grandmother Katherine after she was granted temporary guardianship earlier this week (begs29Jun09), following the star's tragic death.

Rowe told a local California TV news reporter on Thursday (02Jul09) she plans to fight for custody of her children, stating: "I want my kids."

Now intimate pictures of Jackson's life with Rowe have been printed by British tabloid the News of the World.

The snaps, taken just days after Paris was born in 1998, were shot by a professional photographer at the Four Seasons Hotel in Beverley Hills, and show her being cradled lovingly by her parents.

The photos also include her older brother Prince Michael and show Rowe kissing and cuddling the tot.

MUSIC MOGUL KLEIN DIES

ALAN KLEIN, former manager of the ROLLING STONES and THE BEATLES, has died at the age of 77.

The music entrepreneur, known for his ruthless business deals, passed away in New York after a long battle with Alzheimer's disease.

Klein founded Allen Klein & Co. in the late 1950s, and it went on to become one of the world's top independent record companies.

The business tycoon managed the Stones for five years in the mid-1960s, helping them negotiate a new contract with their record label.

But his relationship with the rockers soured when he bought the rights to the group's 1960s hits, including (I Can't Get No) Satisfaction and Jumpin' Jack Flash, from a former manager.

Klein was hired by the Beatles in 1969, despite objections from Sir Paul McCartney. The rift between the group eventually led to a court battle before the band broke up - with many Beatles fans blaming Klein for contributing to the group's split.

Klein continued to work with John Lennon and his wife, Yoko Ono, after the Beatles' demise.

He was convicted of tax fraud in 1979, for not reporting income from the sales of several promotional records, and served two months in prison, but the scandal failed to stop his success.

Klein was also at the centre of the 1985 battle over the rights to the Beatles' back catalogue. He attempted to secure a $47.5 million (£32.8 million) deal on behalf of the Fab Four but eventually lost out to late superstar Michael Jackson.

In addition to music management, Klein also co-produced George Harrison's charity project The Concert for Bangladesh and produced a handful of films throughout his 50-year career.

He is survived by his longtime companion Iris Keitel, his wife Betty, three children, four grandchildren and a sister.

His funeral service will be held in New York on Tuesday (07Jul09).

JACKSON'S MANAGER BLOCKED VEGAS MOVE

MICHAEL JACKSON's physician/manager DR. TOHME TOHME persuaded the star to drop plans to stage a six-month residency in Las Vegas - for the good of his children.

The late superstar considered signing up for a mammoth run in Sin City next year (10), which would have made him $100 million (£66.6 million).

Tohme admits he talked Jackson out of the move and urged him to agree to a series of comeback concerts in London instead - because he feared the star's three children would have suffered if they spent six months in Las Vegas.

He says, "We put a stage in his house in Vegas because before he was practising in the local hotels. He was writing music, working with choreographers. And after we started talking to (concert promoters) AEG for the London gigs, I decided Vegas was not the right place for Michael to stay at the time, especially for the children... it is very hot in the summer. The we signed the deal with AEG and we went to London."

Jackson was due to kick off his run of 50 This Is It concerts in the British capital on 13 July (09).

JACKSON DOCTOR: 'HE WAS FIT AND WELL'

MICHAEL JACKSON's personal physician DR. TOHME TOHME has spoken out about the star's tragic death - insisting the singer did not have any heart problems.

The Thriller hitmaker passed away last month (25Jun09) after suffering a cardiac arrest at his Los Angeles home, amid rumours he was battling an addiction to prescription drugs.

Tohme was not with Jackson when he collapsed at his home, and learned the tragic news of his passing after he rushed to the city's UCLA hospital following a phone call from a reporter.

Tohme, who also acted as Jackson's business manager and spokesman in the months before his death, is adamant rumours the singer had a heart condition are totally unfounded.

He says, "He didn't have a heart problem. A guy who dances for four hours a day has a heart attack? I will have a heart attack before him.

"I spoke to him on the Wednesday before his death. I told him he looked to me a little too thin. He had lost some weight. But he was working hard, he was dancing for four hours a day. He said he was fine.

"Then on Thursday I got a call from a reporter asking if Michael had a heart attack. I got calls from different media saying he was rushed to UCLA so I went there. The hospital staff had already told the family that he was dead. Nobody knows what really happened."
