KOOKS CAUGHT IN MID-AIR PLANE DRAMA

THE KOOKS were left fearing for their lives on Thursday (02Jul09) when their plane was struck by lightning.

The rockers were jetting from Munich, Germany, to Warsaw in Poland when their aircraft was forced to make an emergency landing when a lightning bolt hit the plane just ten-minutes after take-off.

And the terrifying ordeal has left the band spooked.

Frontman Luke Pritchard tells Britain's The Sun newspaper, 'There was a loud crash, like someone had smashed plates, and everyone was jolted. I saw the lightning hit the side of the plane. Scary stuff, man.'

But the incident hasn't put the group off flying for good - the foursome caught a later flight to Warsaw.
