SIR ELTON'S MUSICAL TRIBUTE TO JACKSON

SIR ELTON JOHN paid a moving tribute to MICHAEL JACKSON at his annual charity ball on Thursday (25Jun09).

The Rocket Man hitmaker's White Tie and Tiara Ball was in full swing in the U.K. on Thursday night when the news broke that the King of Pop had died after suffering a cardiac arrest.

Guests at the bash - including Justin Timberlake and Shirley Bassey - were left shocked at the news.

Gossip Girl star Chace Crawford says, "It was like an instant viral just spread. It just instantly changed the energy of the party."

Sir Elton John then took to the stage and performed his hit track Don't Let The Sun Go Down On Me in honour of Jackson - to rapturous applause from the star-studded audience.
