JACKSON'S FATHER DETERMINED TO FIND CAUSE OF DEATH

MICHAEL JACKSON's father is determined to find out if his son's sudden death was caused by prescription drugs, after the Los Angeles coroner found no foul play was involved in the star's passing.

Joe Jackson met with Los Angeles coroner's office officials on Friday (26Jun09), one day after The King of Pop passed away after suffering a cardiac arrest at the age of 50.

A three-hour autopsy of the pop star revealed no indication of trauma or foul play in Jackson's death.

And his family is awaiting answers from the medical examiner's office - which is expected to take four to six weeks to conclude toxicology testing and determine his final cause of death - to finally make peace with losing the star.

Jackson, 79, tells People.com, "That's what we're trying to find out right now. We're trying to find out that information. When we find it out, we'll know. There's a lot to be told, though, I'll tell you that right now. The truth! The truth is still to be told."

The pop star's body was released by the coroner's office on Friday (26Jun09), allowing the family to make funeral arrangements which have yet to be announced.
