FANS SING AND DANCE TO CELEBRATE JACKSON
Fans of MICHAEL JACKSON turned the pop superstar's passing into a celebration of his songs outside UCLA Medical Center in Los Angeles on Thursday evening (25Jun09).
Fans have mistakenly started a tribute for the King of Pop, Michael Jackson, on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, though the star is actually for a radio commentator who goes by the same name. Los Angeles, California - 25.06.09
Hundreds of devotees had gathered in silence to mourn the death of the pop superstar, but they broke into song hours after the sad news had been confirmed.
Singing We Are The World, The Way You Make Me Feel, I'll Be There and other Jackson hits well into the night, the fans danced and celebrated the life of their hero.
Meanwhile, there was a little confusion on Hollywood Boulevard as other devotees chose to mark Jackson's death by placing flowers and photos on the wrong star on the Walk of Fame.
Jackson's pavement tribute was covered by a red carpet ahead of the premiere of Sacha Baron Cohen's new movie Bruno and so confused fans paid their respects at the star of U.S. broadcaster Michael Jackson.
Bosses at the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce plan to officially honour Jackson on Friday (26Jun09) once the premiere red carpet has been removed.
