WILLIAMS QUIZZED AS POTENTIAL WITNESS TO SNAPPER ROBBERY

British singer ROBBIE WILLIAMS has been quizzed by cops in the Bahamas after two photographers were robbed at gunpoint just hours after they took snaps of the star.

The Angels hitmaker was holidaying on the Caribbean island when his entourage became embroiled in an argument with the paparazzi over pictures they took of Williams smoking a roll-up cigarette.

And hours after the confrontation, snappers Matt Sanchez and Carlos Mendez were allegedly the victims of a vicious robbery, which saw their camera equipment and possessions stolen by three thugs.

Williams was called in for questioning by police officers as a witness, to find out if the robbers could have known anything about the row between his minders and the photographers.

Bahamas police chief Ellsworth Moss says, "We are in the process of speaking to Robbie Williams.

"I sent a team of officers from Nassau to the island yesterday and I am waiting for them to report back to me.

"They are going to speak to everybody who would have been party to whatever may or may not have happened on the beach. From the information we get from him we will know exactly where to move with the investigation."

Three men have reportedly been arrested in connection to the crime.
