COWELL'S SHAME AFTER CREDIT CARD DECLINED

Multi-millionaire music mogul SIMON COWELL was left red-faced when he went to pick up the bill in a swanky London restaurant - after his credit card was rejected due to insufficient funds.

The American Idol judge was dining out with his pal, America's Got Talent panelist Piers Morgan at expensive eaterie Cipriani when he signalled for the waiter to put the whole bill on his plastic.

But super-rich Cowell got the shock of his life when the waiter returned - and told the talent show titan that his card had been declined.

Meanwhile, Morgan relished the embarrassment, saying, "It's the greatest moment in my life."

A source close to Cowell insists the star isn't struggling financially, but he had simply maxed out on his cards after a spending splurge.
