FACINELLI KEEN TO WIN TWITTER BET

TWILIGHT star PETER FACINELLI is urging the film's fans to help him win a popularity contest online - so he can pick up a pal's bet.

The actor has emailed Eonline.com blogger Marc Malkin, asking for his help in spreading the word about the Twitter.com challenge.

Facinelli, who plays Dr. Carlisle Cullen in the vampire drama franchise, bet a pal he can land 500,000 followers on Twitter by the end of Friday (19Jun09) - or he'll have to give up the fabric on his on-set director's chair.

Facinelli wrote, "I need your help to win a bet... (My friend) Rob was at my house and wanted the backing of my Twilight chair. He loves to bet, so he bet me for it."

If the actor succeeds, his friend, Rob DeFranco has agreed to dance along Hollywood Boulevard in a bikini while singing Beyonce's Single Ladies (Put A Ring On It).

Facinelli has offered to give the chair backing to one of his Twitter followers - if he wins the bet.
