MICHAEL JACKSON's chauffeur has reportedly escaped criminal charges after he was accused of smashing into an ambulance outside a Los Angeles hospital in April (09).

The unnamed driver was accused of sideswiping the vehicle and breaking off its wing mirror as he went to meet Jackson at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center.
A hospital worker, who was sitting in the parked ambulance, claimed to have been treated for head injuries following the accident.
Police described the incident as a hit-and-run after the car involved failed to stop. But the chauffeur turned himself into authorities the next day, insisting he did not realise he had clipped the side of the ambulance.
The man will not face criminal charges over the smash, according to Radar Online.
The website reports that Los Angeles County District Attorney's Office will not be pursuing the case due to a lack of evidence.
