FRIDAY THE 13TH
Cast: Amanda Righetti, Danielle Panabaker, Jared Padalecki, Andrea Bogart, Julie Berman
Synopsis: Searching for his missing sister, Clay Miller (Jared Padalecki) heads up to the eerie woods of legendary Crystal Lake, where he stumbles on the creaky remains of rotting old cabins behind moss-covered trees.
And that's not the only thing lying in wait under the brush.
Against the advice of police and cautions from the locals, Clay pursues what few leads he has in the search for his missing sister, Whitney (Amanda Righetti), with the help of Jenna (Danielle Panabaker), a young woman he meets among a group of college kids up for an all-thrills weekend. But they are all about to find much more than they bargained for.
TYLER PERRY'S MADEA GOES TO JAIL
Cast: Derek Luke, Tyler Perry, David Mann, Keshia Knight Pulliam, Tamela Mann
Synopsis:
After a high-speed freeway chase puts Madea (TYLER PERRY) in front of the judge, her reprieve is short-lived as anger management issues get the best of her and land her in jail. A gleeful Joe (TYLER PERRY) couldn't be happier at Madea's misfortune. But Madea's eccentric family members the Browns (DAVID and TAMALA MANN) rally behind her, lending their special 'country' brand of support.
Meanwhile, Assistant District Attorney Joshua Hardaway (DEREK LUKE) is on the fast track to career success. But Hardaway lands a case too personal to handle - defending young prostitute and former drug addict Candace Washington (KEISHA KNIGHT PULLIAM) - and asks his fiance and fellow ADA Linda Holmes (ION OVERMAN) to fill in on his behalf. When Candace ends up in jail, Madea befriends the young woman, protecting her in a 'motherly' way as only Madea can.
THE PERFECT SLEEP
Cast: Anton Pardoe, Roselyn Sanchez, Sam Thakur, Patrick Bauchau, Tony Amendola
Synopsis: Think of the hard-boiled world of film noir: the world of Dashiell Hammett's Sam Spade, a world of femme fatales, a world of shadows. Now imagine this world populated with characters from tragic Russian novels like those by Dostoevsky: tormented figures suffering through harsh circumstance. This unique world provides the foundation for the dark and vivid dreamscape of “The Perfect Sleep.”
WHAT GOES UP
Cast: Hilary Duff, Steve Coogan, Molly Shannon, Olivia Thirlby, Josh Peck
Synopsis: It is 1986. An emotionally damaged New York reporter is sent to cover the hometown hoopla for a local hero. But rather than pursue his assignment, which leaves him cold, he follows a group of disaffected students, whose own hero - their beloved, unconventional teacher has just died under a cloud of scandal. Their passionate and, at times, ludicrous expressions of grief attract the reporter. He moves into their alternate universe, a willing 'substitute teacher', but descends into a web of lies and misplaced sexual desire with this group of confused and combustible youths who attempt to cast him as their new hero and teacher.
BORN
Cast: Alison Brie, Denise Crosby, James T. Callahan, Joan Severance, Kane Hodder
Synopsis: Mary Elizabeth, a 21-year-old virgin, goes to bed alone one night and wakes up the next morning pregnant. The fetus inside her is evil and fills her head with cravings to kill. Unable to stop the overwhelming force growing in her womb, Mary Elizabeth begins a dark transformation. In order to prevent more bloodshed, she turns to her father – a former obstetrician – to end the pregnancy . However, it looks like it may be too late, and once the child is born, there will be hell on earth.
