The Britpop pioneers announced their return to the music scene in December (08) - after a six-year hiatus - and have planned a series of massive outdoor shows over the summer (09).
They are currently warming up for their high profile concerts with a string of intimate gigs, the first of which took place in Colchester, England on Saturday night (13Jun09).
But loyal fans who missed out on tickets to the five warm-up shows were given a surprise when the rockers took to their Twitter.com page on Monday morning (15Jun09) to announce a show at the Rough Trade East record store in east London.
Fans were given instructions on how to claim their free wristbands for the gig just hours before the Parklife hitmakers took to the stage to perform a selection of their greatest hits.
