BLUR THRILL FANS WITH COMEBACK SHOW

British rockers BLUR have reunited on stage for the first time in almost a decade - playing the first date of their comeback gigs at a tiny venue in Essex, England.

The Britpop pioneers announced their return to the music scene in December (08) after a six-year hiatus, planning a series of massive outdoor shows including a run at London's Hyde Park and a headline slot at England's legendary Glastonbury festival.

The band are warming up for their high profile concerts with a string of intimate gigs, and they made their return official by playing their first full show to thrilled fans in Colchester, England on Saturday night (13Jun09).

Blur returned to the site of their first ever public performance in 1988, a goods shed at the East Anglian Railway Museum, for the concert, which saw them run through a massive 28-song setlist.

The group will play four more warm-up gigs before they take their shows to larger audiences later this summer (09).
