INJURED MICHAELS HOBBLES OFF TONY AWARDS STAGE

BRET MICHAELS is nursing a sore nose after injuring himself on-stage at the Tony Awards on Sunday (07Jun09).

The star performed with his band Poison as part of the award ceremony's opening number, which incorporated sets from musicals currently showing on Broadway.

But the rocker failed to make a smooth exit - he was knocked off his feet after a piece of the set smashed into his head.

Initial reports indicated Michaels broke his nose, but a spokesperson for the TV broadcast insists he simply "missed his mark".
