THE ENEMY CANCEL OASIS SUPPORT SLOT

British band THE ENEMY were forced to pull out from supporting OASIS on Thursday (04Jun09) after frontman TOM CLARKE was struck down by a bout of food poisoning.

The rockers were due onstage to support the Wonderwall hitmakers for their string of gigs at Heaton Park in Manchester, England this month (Jun09).

But singer Clarke fell ill and the band had to pull out of their slot. They were replaced by fellow Brit band Reverend and The Makers.

Clarke is resting up on doctor's orders - but the group is confident he'll make a full recovery for Saturday's (06Jun09) show.

Bassist Andy Hopkins tells Britain's Daily Star, "Tom's in bed for 48 hours under doctor's orders. We don't know what it was that caused the trouble.

"He will be back for Saturday's show as we all will be as a band. We're absolutely gutted about this."
