Rocker SCOTT WEILAND has launched a response to the news his estranged wife is planning to write a tell-all about her life with him, urging fans not to assume the tome will be full of infidelity stories and hell.

The Stone Temple Pilots frontman admits he has yet to read the book and suggests he's not looking forward to doing so - but he doesn't want the public automatically assuming they know what his soon-to-be ex, model Mary Forsburg, will be revealing in her book, Fall To Pieces, which is scheduled for release in October (09).
In a statement from the rock star, he is cryptic about the reasons for his failed marriage, but states, "What I want everyone to know (is) that it (book) has nothing to do with infidelity. Neither the divorce nor the book. Please don't place the red letter upon my children's mother."
And it seems Weiland hasn't quite given up on his marriage just yet.
He adds, "My love for her (Forsburg) will never end. We just forgot how to be friends. She has now chosen a public career and one that brings both accolades and public scrutiny. There will be more of this sort of thing to deal with as time goes by... both good and bad.
"Divorce is hell, I remember it well and we deal with it every day. And, if you think about it, we both have our 'what-ifs' and 'why-nots...' All I ask is to not see her cry."
It's not the first time Forsburg, who suffers from bipolar disorder, has filed for divorce - she called off a legal split several years ago; the couple has been estranged twice before.
The new book is described as a "visceral rollercoaster ride inside bipolar disorder, rock 'n' roll, celebrity culture, and the competitive world of modelling from a rock star wife and recovering drug addict."
