COCKER THRILLED HIS UNDERWEAR IS WORTH DOUBLE FERGIE'S

Former PULP star JARVIS COCKER is thrilled his underwear is worth more than double those worn by pop pin-up FERGIE.

The two stars joined Nick Cave, Sacha Baron Cohen and Dame Helen Mirren, among others, who donated their pants to journalist Simon Hattenstone's charity bid to aid asylum seekers in London.

The reporter put the signed underwear on auction website eBay.com in March (09) - and Cocker's were by far the highlight of the odd collection.

Cocker's blue Y-fronts eventually went under the hammer for over $200 (£133) - twice as much as Fergie's gold knickers fetched.

The rocker says, "I was very pleased with that. They (underwear) have been washed, but I had worn them.

"It's probably got traces of my DNA."
