Elektra Records has relaunched with former Atlantic Records executive Mike Caren and indie label Fueled By Ramen founder John Janick in control.
The new Elektra will operate as a freestanding label within the Atlantic Records Group, which is part of the Warner Music Group empire.
Grammy Award winner Cee-Lo, Little Boots and acclaimed French electronic music duo Justice are the revamped label's first signings and the company's first new release will be the soundtrack to TV vampire drama True Blood.
The timing of the relaunch could not have come at a better time - Elektra Records will mark its 60th Anniversary in 2010.
