OASIS TRACKS ARE BEST BRITISH ROCK ANTHEMS EVER

OASIS have been crowned the kings of U.K. rock after winning the top three positions in a survey to find the best British songs of all time.

The band's track Live Forever was voted the number one song, while their ballad Wonderwall came second and Don't Look Back In Anger nabbed the third spot.

The rockers, hailing from Manchester, England, had a fourth entry with Champagne Supernova in the countdown voted for by thousands of Xfm Radio listeners in Britain.

Xfm programming director Paul Jackson says, "Oasis undoubtedly has one of the most significant catalogues of all time."

Groups from the north of England dominated the poll - the Stone Roses, The Verve, Joy Division and Arctic Monkeys also made the cut.
