Punk icon IGGY POP is 'embarrassed' by the furore over banned insurance company ads he shot for the British market.
Iggy Pop and The Stooges peforming at Get Loaded in The Park held at Clapham Common. London, England 24.08.08
The Lust For Life singer was signed up to represent U.K. firm Swiftcover as part of a new TV campaign, even though the firm doesn't provide insurance for entertainers.
The ad was banned for misleading the public by the Advertising Standards Authority in England last month (Apr09).
And Pop has been left red faced by the controversy.
He tells Britain's The Times newspaper, "This is so embarrassing."
