DRAKE CONCERT MARRED BY VIOLENCE

Rapper DRAKE was forced to cut short a gig in Chicago, Illinois after gunfire erupted at the venue.

Violence flared at the House of Blues in the early hours of Saturday morning (16May09) shortly after the hip-hop star began his set.

Officials began evacuating the 1,000 concert-goers after a series of fights broke out in the crowd, with one man shot in in the buttocks outside the venue.

The victim was taken to the city's Northwestern Hospital.

The rapper cancelled a planned after-party appearance following the incident, according to Allhiphop.com.
