AUSSIES BEAT BRITS IN CHARITY U.S. CRICKET MATCH

A team of Aussie celebrities beat their British counterparts in the Hollywood Ashes cricket clash in Van Nuys, California at the weekend (09May09).

Led by retired Australian cricket ace Michael Kasprowicz, the Down Under stars, featuring former underwear model-turned-actor Travis Fimmel, won by 29 runs.

Fimmel failed to score and the Aussies looked far from favourites after House star Jesse Spencer pulled out of the clash.

But the team from the land Down Under were still too strong for England test veteran Graham Hick, actor Julian Sands and 65-year-old reality TV star Len Goodman.

After the big game, Kasprowicz told reporters, "It is one of the greatest wins of my entire cricket career."

It was payback for the 2008 game, which was won by the Brits.
