Frontman Peter Wolf insists upcoming shows on 24 and 25 April (09) won't kickstart a full reunion - but they've been planned to help promote his first solo release in seven years, which will hit stores and the Internet this summer (09).
Wolf tells Billboard.com, "The Geils shows are exciting. They are a part of my life that I love and that I treat with great respect. But the solo work also is another part of my life that I also treat with great respect."
The rocker reveals he's putting the finishing touches to the album, which features guests like Merle Haggard and Shelby Lynn.
