GOLDBERG'S COMMITMENT PHOBIA

Triple divorcee WHOOPI GOLDBERG loves getting married - but finds it impossible to settle down after the ceremony.

The Ghost star first walked down the aisle at the age of 18, wedding childhood sweetheart Alvin Martin. After her split from Martin, she went on to marry David Claessen, who she divorced in 1988. Her most recent marriage, to Lyle Trachtenberg, lasted only a year.

And although the actress would happily tie the knot again, she admits her fascination with marriage ends straight after the nuptials.

She tells British TV host Jonathon Ross, "I like the party. Everybody's very, very happy when they're getting married. Everybody's cheerful, they wish you luck - everybody's really supportive. My issue comes the next morning, when you go, 'Wow, forever - really forever?' And I just can't commit."
