CAINE THRILLED BY SHOWEST HONOUR
MICHAEL CAINE is to be handed cinema industry festival ShoWest's most prestigious honour on Thursday (02Apr09) - and he couldn't be more thrilled.
Sir Michael Caine is presented the London's Favourite Londoner award at the 'Visit London Awards 2008' held at the Royal Albert Hall. London, England - 27.11.08
The Educating Rita star will collect the Lifetime Achievement Award at the movie distributors forum as part of a gala ceremony in Las Vegas.
He says, "It's an extraordinary thing to get. They (cinema bosses) are tough. There is no sentiment there. I have never been to ShoWest before. They are not a namby-pamby crowd."
