CHRISTINA APPLEGATE is confident her TV show SAMANTHA WHO? will survive the network axe a second time, and return for a third season later this year (09).

Despite the cancellation of a string of ABC shows including Life on Mars, Pushing Daisies and Dirty Sexy Money, network chiefs are keeping faith with the comedy show. Back in October (08) they commissioned an extension to the second season.
And Applegate is hopeful the cast will all return for season three. She tells AOL Television, "No, no. They're very hush-hush over there. Believe you me, I try to get it out of everybody as much as I possibly can. (Laughs) All I hear is just, 'Be positive.' Tough times - with the economy, even networks have suffered immensely, so you just never know what's gonna happen."
