CARLISLE HEADS OFF TO INDIA AFTER DANCING DISASTER

BELINDA CARLISLE is set to nurse her bruised ego, after becoming the first star kicked off U.S. TV show DANCING WITH THE STARS, by caring for sick animals in Calcutta, India.

The former GoGos star delayed the trip because of the show and now she's making plans to fly out to India - she just didn't imagine she'd be there so soon.

Carlisle was voted off the show on Tuesday night (17Mar09) - even though three of her competitors were battling injury, and one - Steve-O - was in hospital instead of on the dancefloor.

She says, "I love India... It's divine chaos."

And she'll have the trip to rethink her stint on the talent show: "I don't think I was the worst person on the show... but it's a lot of pressure. I don't really think I function that good under that kind of pressure.

"I don't think I was that great, to be honest... I'm not sad. It's really hard... I did the best I could."
