TERI HATCHER has banned her 11-year-old daughter from becoming an actress, after helping her land her one and only role in new animated movie CORALINE.

Emerson lends her voice to a swarm of fireflies in the new film, which stars Hatcher as the mother of a young girl - played by Dakota Fanning - who discovers a secret world.
But the actress insists her daughter won't be following in her footsteps full-time, telling People magazine, "When you hear fireflies say, 'Coraline' that's her. But she's not becoming an actress. It was just a lark."
