BOTTLE SHOCK

Based on an inspiring true story and starring Alan Rickman (Love, Actually), Bill Pullman (Nobel Son), Chris Pine (Smokin' Aces) and Rachael Taylor (Transformers), Bottle Shock is an 'intellegent, affectionate, beautifully acted movie' (The Hollywood Reporter) that pours out the laughs. For connoisseur Steven Spurrier (Rickman), there's no finer art that French wine, despite rumors that the new California wine country holds the future of the vine. Positive the small Napa wineries are no match for established French vintages, Spurrier challenges the Americans to a blind testing. But when he finds the valley full of ambitious - and talented - novice vintners like Jim Barrett (Pullman) and his son Bo (Pine), he realizes his publicity stunt may change the history of wine forever.

HOUNDDOG

Synopsis: A provocative Southern tale set in rural Alabama in the late 1950s, HOUNDDOG is the story of a spirited young girl LEWELLEN (Dakota Fanning) and her struggle to rise above the repression that surrounds her.
Lewellen lives with her stern religious zealot grandmother, GRAMMIE (Piper Laurie), but spends most of her time down the hill with her much-adored DADDY (David Morse) in his falling down shack. Daddy is wild and rough and frequently brings home a beautiful but troubled woman (Robin Wright Penn) who has a mysterious history with him and comes and goes when his drink and abuse becomes too much for her. But while she's around, Lewellen’s longing heart reaches for her love.
Lewellen is deeply talented and finds comfort and safety, as well as a place to put her hurt and rage, in the music of Elvis Presley. When Elvis Presley comes to town for a concert, Lewellen is desperate to go but has no money for a ticket. Her best friend, Buddy, trying to get her a ticket, arranges for her to do her Elvis impersonation for a local teenager in exchange for tickets to the concert. During the impersonation, the teenager attacks Lewellen and steals her innocence.
The attack leaves Lewellen feeling alone and hopeless. It is only the caretaker CHARLES (Afemo Omilami) who can see the spirit in Lewellen and save her soul. He teaches her to use The Blues, to turn her tragedy into a gift. Lewellen ultimately finds her true voice, giving her the strength and courage to walk away from her past and into her future.

THE SECRET LIFE OF BEES

Synopsis: THE SECRET LIFE OF BEES, based on the New York Times best selling novel and set in South Carolina in 1964, is the moving tale of Lily Owens (Fanning) a 14 year-old girl who is haunted by the memory of her late mother (Burton). To escape her lonely life and troubled relationship with her father (Bettany), Lily flees with Rosaleen (Hudson), her caregiver and only friend, to a South Carolina town that holds the secret to her mother's past. Taken in by the intelligent and independent Boatwright sisters (Latifah, Okonedo and Keys), Lily finds solace in their mesmerizing world of beekeeping, honey and the Black Madonna.

SMOKE JUMPERS

Synopsis: A routine house fire ends in tragedy as the local fire department loses one of its own during the blaze. Taking the brunt of the blame is Kristin Scott, as she was the only other firefighter in the house at the time. Now, as dormant sexist tensions erupt, the entire Fire Department questions Kristin's abilities as a fire fighter. Worst of all, her family does as well. Even though Kristin is soon exonerated of any wrong doing, the tensions and prejudice continue to boil over. She is left with only one choice, and that is to prove her skills at the highest level. ZACK AND MIRI MAKE A PORNO

DEAD NOON

Synopsis: With the powers of Hell at his disposal, Frank (Robert Bear) a blood-thirsty outlaw from the old west, is ressurrected to seek his revenge on the present day town of Weston. As the past collides with the present, Sheriff Logan Kane (Scott Phillips), his incompetent younger brother Stuart (Robert Andrus, Awaken the Dead) and sexy gun shop owner Grace (Lillith Fields, Urban Legends: Bloody Mary) will have to fight a posse of the undead to save the town and rescue Logan's new bride (Elizabeth Mouton) from a fate worse than death.
In this shoot' em up western horror tale, ancient demons, walking skeletons and cowboy zombies join forces to take the law down in a blaze of hellfire and brimstone.
