The British singer is set to pen a series of 'chick-lit' books, which are aimed at young women, worth up to $1.43 million (£1 million) each for publishing house HarperCollins.
The stories will chronicle the highs and lows of a woman's bid to find romance, reports Britain's The People newspaper.
A source tells the publication, "She was a singing star in Girls Aloud, but after her instant success as a judge on X Factor she's reached another level.
"Girl fans love her and they will all want to read her books. She's been offered a deal for four or five romantic novels which could be worth up to £5 million.
"She hadn't previously thought of writing, but she's come around to the idea."
