OSMOND SON MAKES IT PAST IDOL AUDITIONS

OSMOND brother ALAN is hoping AMERICAN IDOL can give his singing son a boost - after DAVID OSMOND made it through the audition process for the current season of the TV talent show.

The 29 year old was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis - the same disease eldest Osmond Alan suffers from - three years ago, but he isn't letting that stand in the way of his music dreams.

The emotional Crazy Horses singer sobbed as he wished his son the best of luck before his audition, which was taped for Idol's Wednesday night (28Jan09) episode.
