CHURCH'S EX WANTED BY POLICE OVER DRUGS HAUL

Welsh singer CHARLOTTE CHURCH's ex-boyfriend is at the centre of a police manhunt following a $27.3 million (GBP20 million) drugs haul.

Kyle Johnson, 24, is wanted for questioning following a drugs bust in which a huge batch of heroin was seized. The street value of the haul is thought to be one of the highest ever recorded in the U.K.

According to British tabloid the Daily Mirror, police discovered 150kg (330lb) of high-grade heroin in a three-bedroom house in East London last month (Dec08). Johnson is believed to have lived at the address.

British authorities arrested a 19-year-old man at the house, and have been hunting for Johnson ever since - releasing a picture and description of him to help track him down.

A spokesman for Scotland Yard says, "Officers are releasing a photograph of a man wanted for questioning in connection with the supply of a large seizure of Class A drugs, in a bid to trace his whereabouts.

"Kyle Jason Johnson, 24, may still be in London, although he has strong links to Wales and specifically his city of birth, Cardiff."

Church split from Johnson in 2005 after 18 months together, with Johnson selling a lurid tell-all story to a British tabloid shortly after the break-up.
