WILL + GRACE star ERIC McCORMACK had to abandon the premiere of his new alien movie, because he had to comfort his terrified six-year-old son.
McCormack was convinced Finnegan would enjoy Alien Trespass, which he describes as an homage to 50s sci-fi films - so he dressed him up and took him along to his first screening at the Palm Springs Film Festival.
But the treat backfired.
The actor explains, "We took him to his first premiere. He's all dressed up. Ten minutes in, the alien shoots at a coyote and it melts. And my son turned to me and said, 'Ok, we're going now.'
"So I spent most of the premiere in the parking lot, discussing how 'Star Wars aliens aren't scary'."
