D'ANGELO CALLS ON PRINCE FOR ALBUM COMEBACK

Soul star D'ANGELO has recruited PRINCE for his long-awaited comeback album.

The Brown Sugar singer has been recording tracks for James River - his first release since 2000 - with Gnarls Barkley's Cee-Lo Green, Raphael Saadiq and Mark Ronson, and now he's looking to complete the album with a Prince collaboration.

The project marks the end of a lengthy troubled period for the soul man, who survived a serious car accident and hit the headlines for drug-related arrests in between albums.

A spokeswoman tells Billboard.com, "He's coming back. And he looks great, by the way."
