WINEHOUSE SIGNS GOD-DAUGHTER TO NEW LABEL

AMY WINEHOUSE is reportedly investing $1.5 million (GBP1 million) to launch her own record label in a bid to make her 12-year-old goddaughter a singing sensation.

Wannabe singer Dionne Bromfield shot into the limelight when a brief recording of her singing as Winehouse played the guitar appeared on video-sharing website YouTube last May (08).

And the Rehab hitmaker is so confident that Bromfield has what it takes to be a star she has allegedly founded new label Lioness to kickstart the youngster's career.

Bromfield says, "I had a lot of record companies wanting to sign me but I didn't know where to go. So for Amy to set up this record company and make me her first signing means so much."

Winehouse has collaborated with the young singer on a number of songs, co-writing and co-producing her debut album which is set to be released in March (09), according to Britain's News of the World newspaper.
