Late Atlantic Records boss JERRY WEXLER's final album was a collaboration between country legend WILLIE NELSON and Americana group ASLEEP AT THE WHEEL.
As Willie And The Wheel, the "western swing" album will hit stores in early February (09).
The collaborative album was originally suggested by record producer Wexler in the 1970s, when Nelson briefly recorded for Atlantic Records.
Wexler eventually produced Willie And The Wheel before he died in August (09).
Nelson says, "I'm glad we got to do it for him, and that he heard it before he passed on."
