Lawyers for Fielder-Civil, jailed for causing actual bodily harm and perverting the course of justice, were last week (begs05Jan09) said to have filed papers in a bid to bring the couple's 20-month marriage to an end.

And now the news has been confirmed by a spokesperson for the Back to Black hitmaker.

The representative tells British newspaper Metro, "Papers have been received and the matter is with Amy's lawyers."

Fielder-Civil, who married the singer in Miami, Florida in 2007, is reportedly set to battle for $7.6 million (GBP5 million) - half of the star's entire $15 million (GBP10 million) fortune
