LONELY HOLIDAYS FOR ADELE

Pop star ADELE is hoping for a new man in 2009 - after spending the festive season curled up alone on her sofa.

The British singer tells fans she was "asleep for most of" Christmas Day, and bemoans her lifestyle as unglamorous.

But the lonely Chasing Pavements hitmaker hopes her luck will improve in the New Year - she has a secret crush on a mystery man.

On her official blog, Adele writes: "I had Christmas night on my bloody own! Charming! Glamour? Yeah, whatever! Chatting away to myself and listening to Free Falling. Typical night!... I'm hoping I'll pluck up the courage to tell this boy I like that...well that I like him!"

Adele hits the road in the U.S. in January (09).
