ALLEN'S POLISH MUSICAL DEBUT
WOODY ALLEN and his jazz band have thrilled fans in Poland by holding their first ever concert in the country.

The filmmaker played to around 3,000 fans at a gig on Sunday (28Dec08) by playing the clarinet, accompanied by his New Orleans Jazz Band.
During his performance at Warsaw’s Sala Kongresowa concert hall, Allen told the crowd, "We will do our best to entertain you."
The 73-year-old’s solo parts, as well as those of other band members, were welcomed with applause and Allen received a standing ovation at the end.
The star rarely performs in large venues or outside New York City, where he lives.
