MADONNA + RITCHIE'S FESTIVE FAMILY FUN

Pop superstar MADONNA and her estranged husband GUY RITCHIE set aside their differences to spend the holiday season with their children.

The family enjoyed a 'split' Christmas day (25Dec08) in Britain - film director Ritchie stayed at the family's country estate in Wiltshire, England with sons David, three, and Rocco, eight, while Madonna spent the day with daughter Lourdes, 12, at the couple's $22 million (GBP15 million) London mansion.

The following day (26Dec08) Ritchie drove to London so the whole family could be together - and they were later seen heading out for a walk.

An onlooker told British newspaper The People, "They all looked really at ease with each other. Madonna and Lourdes had partnered up while Guy walked with the boys but there was an overall sense of togetherness.

"It was as if they wanted everyone to see that they have made peace with each other. It was so lovely after all the tales of rows and bickering. Let's hope it lasts for the childrens' sakes."

The source adds, "Everyone hopes their feelings of togetherness aren't just for Christmas but will continue well beyond."

The couple announced its split in October (08) and was granted a preliminary divorce on 21 November (08). The union will be officially dissolved in the New Year (09).
