BURKE RETAINS TOP SPOT IN U.K.

THE X FACTOR winner ALEXANDRA BURKE has kept her place at the top of the U.K. singles chart with her cover of LEONARD COHEN's HALLELUJAH.

The 2008 British TV talent show winner beat her 2006 counterpart Leona Lewis, who occupies second place with her cover of Snow Patrol's Run, while R+B superstar Beyonce Knowles took third with If I Were A Boy.

James Morrison and Nelly Furtado's collaboration Broken Strings climbed two places to fourth, and American rockers Kings of Leon round out the top five with their tune Use Somebody.
