DJ AM SUES PLANE CRASH AVIATION COMPANY

ADAM 'DJ AM' GOLDSTEIN is taking legal action against the aviation company he holds responsible for his near-death plane crash in September (08).

In a lawsuit filed in Los Angeles County Superior Court on Tuesday (23Dec08), Goldstein accuses the pilots of deciding "to abort and/or reject the take-off in a negligent manner" despite allegedly being aware one or more tires had blown as the jet reached take-off speed.

As a result, the plane overshot the runway and exploded into flames, costing two friends and two airplane staff their lives.

Goldstein and rocker Travis Barker were the only survivors of the crash.

The DJ is suing the estates of the two late pilots, Sarah Lemmon and James Bland, along with Clay Lacy Aviation, Global Exec Aviation, Inter Travel + Services Inc, Goodyear Tire and Rubber Co, and Learjet.

Goldstein, who suffered severe burns, is seeking compensation for pain and suffering, lost earnings, property damage, past and future medical and health-related expenses, and punitive damages, according to TMZ.com.

Drummer Barker and the mother of his bodyguard, Charles Still, both filed separate but similar lawsuits last month (Nov08).
