JOHNSON BLASTS AC/DC PIRATE

AC/DC rocker BRIAN JOHNSON has hit out at the 'dirty little git' who leaked their latest album online, and expressed his relief it didn't ruin the LP's release.

Black Ice, the band's first album in eight years, hit stores in October (08), but not before one particular cunning fan had sneaked a copy onto the internet.

Johnson and his bandmates feared the security leak would wreck the release and cost them millions in album sales.

And he thanks fans for ignoring the internet bootleg and going out and buying the CD, helping them top charts around the world.

Johnson tells HeraldTribune.com, "Some dirty little git in Europe had recorded a copy of the album - he was arrested, by the way - and at some pressing plant in Germany, thousands of copies had gotten out. We thought, 'Well, that's it. Once it gets out on the Internet, it's like a feeding frenzy.' But it didn't happen; fans went out and bought the album. They wanted the album; they wanted a physical body of work in their hands."
