AC/DC'S JOHNSON WRITES MEMOIR

AC/DC rocker BRIAN JOHNSON is writing a memoir about his life as a rock star.

Brian Johnson of AC/DC live in concert at Madison Square Garden, New York City, USA - 12.11.08

Johnson, the sole Brit member of the Aussie band, will share thoughts and anecdotes in the book, being released by publishers Penguin.

But the star warns it won't be a typical rock'n'roll autobiography; drug-taking tales of excess will be replaced by stories about his obsession with cars.

Johnson tells HeraldTribune.com, "I like humour a lot, and cars have been a big part of my life. I'm lucky enough that I'm able to buy some of the exotic ones. Instead of doing drugs, I did motorcars. I'm not sure which one is more expensive."
