A series of photographs of MARILYN MONROE taken the year she died have fetched $146,500 (GBP97,600) at auction.

The collection of 36 shots, taken in 1962 for Vogue magazine, went under the hammer at Christie's in New York on Tuesday (16Dec08).
They were the last professional images taken of the star, and were ran in the magazine as a memorial after her death later that same year.
