BLIGE AND PERRY'S BET NOD

MARY J. BLIGE and TYLER PERRY will be honoured at the second annual BET Honours.

The R+B singer and the filmmaker are just two of the stars set to be recognised at the event - they will be joined by Magic Johnson, dance pioneer Judith Jamison, style guru B. Smith and South Carolina Congressman James E. Clyburn next month (Jan09).

The awards, which will air on 9 February (09), are part of the festivities for the inauguration of President-elect Barack Obama - BET is also putting on its first inaugural ball which will air on the same day (20Jan09).
