Fans of late rocker JEFF BUCKLEY are campaigning to take one of his songs to the top of the U.K. charts this Christmas (08).
Devotees of the star - who died in 1997 - have taken to the net to encourage music lovers to download his version of Leonard Cohen's track Hallelujah.
The move is in response to news the winner of British talent show The X Factor will release the song in a bid to land the coveted Christmas number one spot.
A group on networking site Facebook has been launched in support of the bid, and Buckley's version has already made it to number 43 in the charts.
